Flood Hazard Identification Study

For the additional information (e.g., modeling results, newsletters, etc.), please see the hyperlinks below.

1.   Modeling results to view the flooding hazards in your area are available on the District website at PPW ADMS Model Results.  Residents can zoom in on their house and view the flood hazards in the vicinity.  Please note – I highly recommend using Google Chrome as your internet browser to view the PPW ADMS model results page.  Unfortunately, the website doesn’t work as well in other browsers like Internet Explorer.

2. A summary of the public meetings in May is here and other project information, such as the recent newsletters, is on the Flood Hazard Identification Studies web page (Please note:  you will need to zoom in on the map to the Pinnacle Peak West study area to view the documents).

3. Click here for a map of the roadways likely to flood during major storms.

Next steps:

  1. In August, we will send you the maps (same maps as attached) and a summary of our results and flooding issues that are specific to Dove Valley Ranch.  So look for that probably towards the end of August.

  2. We are finalizing the Flooding Resource Guide, which provides information about common drainage and flooding questions and concerns.  We expect the guide to be ready in mid-September and will email the link or pdf to anyone who requests to receive it.

If you need anything else that is not on the website or have any questions about the project, contact me anytime.
